Our client is currently experiencing substantial growth and is seeking to engage a Mechanical Engineer. This is a permanent opportunity based in Brisbane and may be relocated to Gladstone in 2013.


Key responsibilities will include:

* Advise and develop engineering standards for the operations phase.
* Participate in the project quality assurance and completions management program.
* Comply with engineering compliance and regulations including permits, JV requirements and state legislation.
* Propose reviews during detailed design and construction phases.
* Engineering support to the LNG plant duties will include: Maintenance, inspection and engineering change control.
* Define scope of shutdown and major Maintenance activities.

Required skills, experience and attributes:

* Mechanical engineering and relevant operational work experience is essential.
* Familiar with multibillion large scale LNG projects.
* Advanced Microsoft Office and computer skills.
* Familiar with engineering Maintenance systems.
* Previously worked in a similar Oil and Gas position.
* Ability to work within a team and has strong management skills.
* Willingness to travel internationally and domestic when required.
