Job Title: Senior Manager, Channel & Regional Marketing Operations
Department: Marketing and Strategy

Reporting To: Chief Marketing officer

Job Description:
  • Develop marketing and communication strategy and planning;
  • Liaise with the sales team to identify key customer segments and develop a marketing communication plan that will support sales targets.
  • Manage a brand tracking programme that reports back on the image and reputation of MTN and provide timely and relevant feedback to enable the refinement and development of the channel marketing plans;
  • Define and implement communication strategies that will support a differentiated MTN brand and segment position that sets the organisation apart from the competition;
  • Identify the most effective channels to communicate MTN Brand and segments in the marketplace.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to measure the impact of Trade Marketing activities.
  • Provide information to the customer regarding appropriate policies, procedures and operating practices; as well as competitor activities
  • Build and maintain relationships with customer groups.
  • Participate in organisation of dealer forums
  • Drive brand affinity and localizing of the MTN brand at the Regional levels.
  • Co-ordinate the presence and relationship of MTN with stakeholders and policy makers at the Regional levels through the RMMs.
Required Skills:

At least12 years work experience which includes:
  • 4 years management experience in a service industry and/ or cellular/ telecommunications and/ or operational management
  • 4 years marketing experience in a fast moving consumer goods (FCMG) environment,
  • 2 years experience in account management

Qualification:
  • A first degree preferably in the social sciences Possession of MBA qualification will be an added advantage
Job Conditions:
  • Tool of trade vehicle provided with driver Work is carried out mostly in the field A valid drivers license (Extensive local travel)
  • May be required to work extended hours / weekends
  • Need to attend Merchandise fairs to identify visibility materials that are unique

Required Skills:
  • At least 8 years work experience which includes:
  • At least 6 years cash management / foreign exchange experience
  • At least 2 years in the corporate finance function of a reputable organisation in the Financial Services Sector or multinational corporate treasury experience
  • Experience in international trade finance, foreign exchange activities, and cash management.
  • Familiarity with capital markets and financial investment securities
  • Experience with equity, hybrid or debt investments either at a corporation, investment bank, or accounting, law, tax, or investor relations firm
  • Experience in a managerial/ supervisory role.

Nigeria Atomic Energy Commision (NAEC) Abuja, Nigeria. As part of its effort to achieve set national objectives, NAEC has started the implementation of a deliberate policy to promote and coordinate relevant programmes aimed at capacity building, infrastructure development and human capital development to generate the critical mass of manpower needed to drive the national nuclear programmes.

In this regard, NAEC is seeking to recruit fresh graduates in science and engineering for a three-month bridging-training programme in nuclear science and engineering. Graduates of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Mechanical /Electrical /Chemical /Material /Metallurgy and Computer Engineering, below 25 years of age, with a minimum of second class honours (upper division) degree are eligible for considderation.

At the successful completion of the three-month training programme, it is expected that the graduands would have acquired a suitable foundation which will equip them for post-graduate studies in nuclear science and engineering or find employment as professionals in the various aspects of the national nuclear technology programmes, as well as academics int he universities and polytechnics.

•Ensure spare power capacity is available for redundancy and future installations and Provide 2nd level support to regional operations in assigned areas/ region.
•Maintain optimal performance of all cooling and power systems within the region.(Swicth & BTS)
•Conduct routine maintenance of all power and cooling systems at MTN installations and leased property within assigned area and ensure they are within MTN Specifications.

•Direct the implementation and maintenance of efficient management information system for ESS operations in the assigned region.
•Coordinate data gathering for the duration of NEPA (Local Power Source) power outages, power consumptions for the rural and urban BTS/TX sites including the switching centres within the assigned region.
•Monitor maintenance contracts for regional contractors.
•Ensure continuous improvement of processes and procedures to foster efficiency of ESS operations within the assigned region

GENDER AND LOCAL ADVOCACY SPECIALIST
The Gender Expert will function as a member of a team implementing a USAID funded local governance and civil society program in Nigeria. The Leadership, Empowerment, Advocacy and Development (LEAD) program is a five years program that builds partnerships between civil society, state and local governments and the private sector to improve state and local governance capacity in Bauchi and sokoto state, and to build the capacity of local governments to be more responsive to community needs.


The Gender Expert will be responsible for ensuring the gender considerations are mainstreamed throughout program activities including:
designing and conducting state-of-the-art training and follow up technical support in gender integration in program design and implementation, gender and participatory budgeting and other topics relevant to the project’s on-going training activities. Training and follow up will be provided to project staff, local government authorities and CSOs.
Providing technical assistance in gender for all program activities such as: reviewing assessment tools, manuals, laws and other project documents; making specific recommendations and providing follow up support to ensure that gender is integrated into activities and documents
Identifying and scaling up best practices in gender and water/sanitation throughout project initiatives
Designing and implementing gender-sensitive data collection and monitoring and evaluation tools
Documenting gender related activities and outcomes for an external audience

Expertise in gender and service delivery, especially water provision, sanitation and health care

Making LGAs more responsive to gender considerations and the needs of women (gender needs assessment, gender budgeting, designing participatory gender stakeholder engagement process); and
Building the capacity of CSOs to advocate for LGA resources that improve health and social outcomes for women
Work collaboratively with other members of the LEAD technical team
Contribute to project reporting and documentation

Description
Oando Marketing Limited is currently seeking a Calibration Engineer who reports to the Technical Services Engineer and is responsible for ensuring the proper, accurate and timely calibration of all product storage tanks (including truck tanks), custody transfer vessels / equipment, flow media, pressure or temperature equipment and other measuring devices in OMP’s plants, terminals, VMI sites and retail outlets according to industry standards and regulations at the appropriate time. This role is also responsible for validation and certification of these measurement systems.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
STRATEGIC
Develop adequate work plan to ensure that all OMP’s custody transfer assets (CTA) – tanks, trucks, vessels, equipment, etc companywide are calibrated as at when due and obtain approval for this work plan.
Ensure prompt calibration of CTAs by due date and according to work plan.
Proper and accurate implementation of approved calibration procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all calibrations done in OMPlc.
Develop and maintain viable working relationships with regulators (DPR, Weights & Measures, etc), service providers (calibrators) and customers.
Continuously track and monitor calibration status of all CTA on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis.
Publish calibration reports when due to all stakeholders and obtain feedback for follow up and necessary updates/corrections within SLAs.

OPERATIONAL
Undertake hands-on calibration and certification activities for gas and liquid measurement systems for OMPlc’s facilities.
Undertake pressure test of tanks and other vessels as required before calibration.
Carry out frequent physical random checks on calibration teams (internal & external) and publish reports of such checks in allotted time frame.
Perform accuracy verification checks on measurement procedures and systems.
Prepare and monitor payment documents for vendors for calibration works satisfactorily completed.
Actively participate in the maintenance and repairs of OMPlc’s measuring equipment, ensuring that company quality standards and specifications are met.
Obtain from Installation Engineers signed off evidence of proper sealing of flow meters and other equipment after calibration.
Advise engineering team on calibration provisions for all new projects.
Assist Terminal/Plant Operations teams in resolution of stock variance issues.
Validate calibration tables, charts and reports submitted by calibrators.
Manage day to day activities associated with calibration including client liaison, calibrators’ equipment certification, etc.
Ensure all calibration works are carried out in line with Oando EHS procedure.

DEVELOPMENTAL
To maintain a comprehensive knowledge of up-to-date industry standards and codes of practice for calibration of measuring equipment used by OMPlc.
Acquire and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of calibration to OMP’s operations.

REQUIREMENTS
1st degree in Engineering
Membership of Nigeria Society Of Engineers (optional)
Minimum of 5 years calibration experience in the petroleum industry.
Experience of fluid flow measurement and instrumentation projects, in particular the requirements for metering calibration and verification. Must be familiar with the operation of Flow Meters, weighing scales/bridges, as well as conventional and small volume provers.
Should be familiar with the principles of tank calibration, including the wet and dry (physical strapping, ultrasonic) methods.

SCOPE OF WORK
Poultry Marketing Initiative Business Development
Women for Women International in Nigeria

Since 1993, Women for Women International (WfWI) has served more than 153,000 women in nine countries, benefiting more than 742,000 family members, and distributing
more than $42 million in direct aid and micro-credit loans. WfWI has developed a grassroots program committed to helping women become economically sustainable, lead
change in their communities, and begin to build a prosperous and stable future for their countries.

Helping women achieve economic independence is central to WfWI's mission of moving women survivors of war from victims, to survivors, to active citizens. To increase
economic opportunities for women, we have concluded that forming cooperatives is a potentially very important option.

We are looking for a short-term consultant to assist with business development at two cooperatives in southeastern Nigeria. This is a two-week assignment in-country.

BACKGROUND
The Country Office of Women for Women International in Nigeria (WfW-N) currently works with over 70 groups of women in poultry production where the poultry industry is
a growing sector in the country's economy, and women have an active role in poultry production throughout the country. They raise, slaughter, process, prepare, and
sell poultry meats.

Past projects have focused primarily on production of broilers and layers. Currently, there is potential for a poultry processing component. One group has tested
farm gate processing to market fresh poultry in the state of Enugu. This generated quick success as the group experienced an increase in demand for their processed
poultry. Individual consumers would travel one-hour to just purchase the group's product. Based on this initial success, other graduate groups began to follow their
model.

THE POULTRY MARKETING INITIATIVE - PMI
The Poultry Marketing Initiative (PMI) is based on the current production practices of WfW-N groups, current market behavior, and supply & demand. Poultry production
is an activity that most women are engaged in at the family farm level, and over 70 groups of women are engaged in small-scale production and are attempting to enter
the micro-commercial market with a value-added product.

The local market is absorbing the current production of live birds, and demand in the area is high with high imports of frozen poultry from the European Union, United
States, and Israel. There are also large-scale production & processing operations in Enugu state, but consumers favor locally produced fresh birds because the meat is
used mostly in soups and stews which require longer cooking times.

In meetings with managers of local eateries, a preference for the freshest product possible was strong. Each potential customer noted that the commercial suppliers
cannot fill their demand for fresh poultry meat. If the women's groups were to scale-up to a similar production level, they too would have to adopt these practices to
stay competitive, but using less technically advanced processing methods seems a better course-- it is lower cost and delivers the fresh product consumers prefer.
This market segment is a relatively narrow segment of the market, but this segment's preference plays into PMI's strengths-- the hand processing the women are capable
of is just what these consumers want.

The women's groups also have the potential to produce and deliver poultry to the local market at lower prices than their competitors in other regions of the country,
though it is not clear that reducing prices is needed.

THE BUSINESS GOAL
This assignment focuses on business development at two cooperatives (Umualor & Mmaku) which will operate as independent and self-reliant businesses without support
from WfWI.

There are 875 women in training to form two 'pre-cooperative' businesses. They are receiving training in Life Skills, business, job skills, and cooperative practices.

As the project continues, it is expected that some women will drop out-- maybe 500 will remain. It is our goal to help them maintain the two cooperative businesses
and manage all phases of the business themselves.

CURRENT MARKET INFORMATION
PMI has a product line that targets a market niche that few other operations work in-- local, fresh chicken meat. The product markets are: whole birds and entrails
sold to hotels and some restaurants, whole birds sold to local people, and dressed birds sold to hotels, restaurants, cafes, and some households. The two cooperatives
will produce broilers and process this production using their on-site facilities.

There is high demand for poultry products in the Enugu area in the expanding fast food and hospitality industries. There is potential growth in US and European-style
grocery stores that sell packaged poultry products. This demand is estimated at over 1000kg a week from customers expecting two deliveries per week. The current
wholesale price is about N600 ($4) per kg of product with retail outlets selling dressed products for N750 ($5) per kg. These customers require products delivered
frozen or 'fresh cooled' in a timely manner.

Demand is high in neighboring states as well, but transportation will be a serious constraint.

The main constraint, however, is the capacity of the women involved. WfWI participants are the most socially excluded; they lack education, business skills & acumen,
and influence in the community and markets.

PRICING
From the information gathered to date, it appears that bulk sales are negotiable with a benchmark price of N600 ($4) per kg of product excluding offal or innards. PMI
currently expects to sell at N580 per kg and sell off-cuts such as gizzards, necks, hearts, livers, kidneys, and the drum sticks separately. Completion of this
assignment requires a thorough review of the pricing strategy.

LONGER TERM
PMI's success can foster to the emergence of small business opportunities among other WfW-N graduates. Demand is very high, and new business opportunities can emerge
where women might prepare and spiced or roasted chicken parts and at prices easily affordable in the local market. By this arrangement, a woman buys chicken from PMI
at a reasonable price and prepares & sells the finished product. Other producers of chickens might join the cooperative as well. WfWI envisions a successful PMI as
the 'parent cooperative' future graduates might join.

ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES
Specifically the consultant will work with WfW-staff to:
•Develop current market contacts into customers of PMI and securing relationships where feasible
•Work with the IG Manager and Country Office staff on appropriate business issues
•Gather additional market intelligence
•Work with IG Manager to refine the pricing strategy, costing challenges, and preparing a pro forma operating budget and income statement
•Advise on branding, packaging and promotion
•Prepare and submit a final report that includes daily work log, overall observations, analytical interpretations, recommendations, and contact list.
