Job summary
Swift is looking for a Facility Engineer to work on the North Slope of Alaska. An Alaskan resident is preferred however out of state qualified candidates will be considered, since this is a rotational position. Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineer is preferred.
Plant Engineer to be dedicated to the Central Compressor Plant onsite. The Plant/TAR Engineer is responsible for providing technical input and oversight to our Operations and Maintenance activities and to be the dedicated technical resource for the Plant. This job is Plant Engineering is also tasked with providing input and direction to the implementation of clients global Integrity Management (IM) policy. The IM standard will have a considerable impact to our business unit, and the successful candidate will be tasked with advancing our compliance with the standard, including the implementation plans for use at the line level
Responsibilities
* Provide day to day Engineering and technical support to Operations.
* Function as clients Technical Reviewer and resource for various parts of Process Safety Management (PSM) and clients Integrity Management systems.
* Working closely within the MOC (Management of Change) system.
* Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) revalidations, Facilities Hazard Identification, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, etc.
* Providing engineering support to assure compliance with Regulatory requirements.
* Conducting debottlenecking and optimization studies in support of Operations.
* Contribute to the preparation and execution of planned plant shutdowns.
* Lead small engineering projects and provide technical liaison with offsite Project Engineering and contractor teams/organizations.
* Conducting benchmarking studies to identify best practices.
* Provide assistance to other engineers on such matters as 'peer' technical review, assistance in progressing MOC work, mentoring and knowledge transfer.
* Provide technical support for the projects related to the upcoming Turnaround (TAR) work.
Deliverables
The persons will be responsible for delivering MOC technical assistance, PSA and HAZOP Revalidation review and recommendations for resolution(s), TAR technical/engineering assistance, and engineering duties as assigned.
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
o * 8 or more years of experience in the Process Industry (either upstream, downstream, gas plants, or with Engineering and Construction (Devs))
* A good understanding of the major unit operations associated with upstream topsides engineering, particularly oil/water/gas separation, gas compression, gas dehydration and water and oil handling/pumping.
* Strong understanding of P&IDS, Instrument/Controls, Unit Operations
* Experienced in Process Safety Management (PSM) with emphasis on HAZOP, Mechanical Integrity, and Management of Change (HAZID, MAR and MAHA experience a plus).
* Familiarity with 29 CFR 1910.119.
* Skillful application of Pressure Safety Valve sizing calculations and an understanding of sizing scenarios.
* Design experience in upstream production facilities and gas plants - compressible fluid flow line and equipment sizing (control valves).
* Understanding of ANSI B31.3 and B31.4 and their application.
* Personable, with strong interpersonal, communication and diversity skills.
* Strong Health, Safety and Environmental focus and commitment.
* Implementation experience with PSM, PHA's, and HSE Plan development.
